Abby is the only daughter and the youngest of three children of American parents Jeff Hornacek and Stacy Hornacek. His father was a former NBA player and a coach, who served as the head coach of the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). She has two older brothers named Tyler and Ryan Hornacek. Her brother is married to Casey Hornacek.
Growing up, she has a huge crush on Troy Bolton, the main protagonist of the High School Musical trilogy.

Career Beginnings
Abby did spend most of her childhood in Utah until age 10 and later her family relocated to Arizona post her dad’s retirement from professional basketball in 2000.
While studying journalism at Southern California University, she used to anchor/produce at Trojan Vision Television, a student-operated TV station. In May 2012, she had to quit Trojan because she joined the university’s volleyball team and played for them.
After a brief hiatus from anchoring, she returned to media life when she joined another student-operated news program called Annenberg TV News in August 2013. During this time, she learned a lot about new reporting by covering a wide range of stories.
Career Breakthrough
She began her professional media career in January 2014 when she joined Fox Sports San Diego as a production intern. As an intern, she assisted various Fox Sports 1 producers in live broadcasts and other shows. She also assisted in logging and clipping sports for the evening’s highlight show.
After being an intern for four months, she joined the network as a featured host and reporter and co-hosted shows like Phoenix Suns Mock Draft and San Diego Prep Insider, a weekly night show. She briefly worked as a Fox Sports sideline reporter as well as contributed to ESPN.
