Shakthi Vasudevan, also known as Shakthi, is a film actor best known for his works in Tamil films. He is the son of the noted filmmaker P Vasu. He has acted in several Tamil films like Chinna Thambi, Thottal Poo Malarum, Ninaithale Inikkum, Etho Seithai Ennai, Shivalinga, and 7 Naatkal. Shakthi Early Life and Career
Born on February 23, 1983, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Shakthi is the youngest son of two children to P Vasu and Shanthi. His father is a prominent director in Kollywood. His grandfather Peethambaram is a noted makeup artist in the Tamil film industry, an assistant of then Chief Minister and actor M.G. Ramachandran.
Shakthi started his film career as a child artist making his debut in the Tamil film Chinna Thambi, directed by his father P Vasu. He went on to appear in half a dozen of movies before taking a break from Tamil films. He did his schooling in a noted school in Chennai and attended Loyola College, Chennai.
In 2007, Shakthi returned to mainstream cinema as a lead actor in Thottal Poo Malarum, which opened to mixed reviews. The film did fair business at the box office. Later, he went on to appear in several Tamil films, but unfortunately, most of them didn’t do well at the box office.
Some of his notable films are Ninaithale Inikkum, Aattanayagann, Etho Seithai Ennai, and Tharkappu among others. In 2016, he made his Kannada debut in his father’s direction flick Shivalinga, where he plays a ghost. He reprised the same role in Tamil, again under his father’s direction.
In 2017, he appeared as a contestant in the first season of the Bigg Boss Tamil reality show hosted by Kamal Haasan in Star Vijay. He later appeared in the TV show called Mrs. Chinnathirai.

Shakthi got married to Smrithi on 31st October 2011 in Mayor Ramanathan Hall in Chennai. Smrithi is a B.Com graduate from Stella Maris College, Chennai. The couple together has a son named Harshath.
