Earlier this month, there were several rumors about Bella Hadid‘s unavailability at the 2021 Met Gala on Monday, with some strongly believing she missed the event due to the event’s safety protocols. The 24-year-old supermodel took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to upload a photo of a nurse injecting her with a vaccine, a photo she captioned with “for anyone concerned.”
Gigi Hadid, Bella’s sister, went to the 2021 Met Gala putting on a Prada dress. The sisters were usually noted to always attend the event together, but not this year with online casinos south Africa looking forward to it at the time.
The celebrities attending the Met Gala, which is considered one of fashion’s biggest events, were all required to follow the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s visitor guidelines, which is in agreement with New York City’s mandate.
The guidelines declare that all visitors attending the Met Gala should provide proof that they received a minimum of one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. They were also required to put on their masks once inside the venue when they are eating or drinking.
The new rules were considered to be too strict for rapper Nicki Minaj, who declared on Monday that she won’t be attending the 2021 Met Gala due to the vaccine mandate.
The rapper took to her Twitter account to write: “If I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now.”
Nicki Minaj went on to claim that her cousin in Trinidad rejected the idea of getting the vaccine because “his friend got it & became impotent.”
Her remarks brought forth all kinds of criticism online, and it ended up sparking speculations if other celebrities skipped the Met Gala for the same reasons, which many online pokies found to be quite absurd.
“Interesting to know the met gala requires vaccines, and notice how so many celebs decided to not go, I know many had scheduling conflicts and I really hope that’s all it is for them bc if not…………….” one person tweeted.
Another Twitter user wrote: “Nicki Minaj has — among other things — done a huge disservice to the other celebrities not in attendance by emphasizing that the vaccine requirement at the Met Gala is being enforced. I might, maybe, have assumed some folks sitting this year out just weren’t feeling it, but now…”
Another celebrity that pulled out of the 2021 Met Gala at the last minute was Kylie Jenner. But it was later revealed that she crossed out the event due to her pregnancy which is “a lot to take on, going to such a public event,” a source claimed.
